LOCATION

The 4-star Tallink City Hotel is located in the heart of Tallinn, in the popular shopping and business district of the city centre and just a few minutes’ walk from the historic Old Town. The best shopping malls, restaurants and bars of the heart of the city are nearby.  The hotel went through major renovation project and was re-opened in June 2021.

The Tallink City hotel is a certified Green Key hotel meaning they follow the standards of excellence in sustainability and environmental responsibility.

GUEST ROOMS

The hotel has 324 cosy rooms of various categories, such as the classic twin rooms, spacious rooms for families, elegant de lux-rooms and impressive suites. All hotel rooms will be furbished in the contemporary modern style and the interior design will take its inspiration from such key words that may seem to contradict one another, at first glance: heart of the city centre and close to the green outdoors, high tech and natural, fast and take your time to enjoy.

DINING & ENTERTAINMENT

The hotel restaurant also reopened with a completely new concept. The brand-new roomy City Grill House restaurant seats up to 228 persons and welcomes all enthusiasts of delicious grilled dishes. According to the Head Chef of City Grill House restaurant, Anatolijs Pimanovs, the wide selection of dishes on the menu are prepared from carefully selected choice ingredients, offered with an exciting variety of side dishes. The key words of the grill menu are flexibility, combinability of various menu elements and adjusting  dishes to the customers’ individual prefence, as well as option to share food with friends around the table.

Restaurant’s impressively wide menu is skilfully prepared on the exclusive Mibrasa coal grill which highlights the top quality of choice ingredients. In addition to wide selection of meats, there are plenty of fish and seafood, vegetarian as well as vegetable dishes and tantalising desserts to choose from.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES AND GREEN KEY

Tallink Hotels cares about the environment through incorporating the principles of sustainable development in its daily activities. In recognition of this, all Tallink hotels have now been certified with the Green Key eco-label – definitely the place to be if you’re looking for a Green Key hotel in Tallinn.

Tallink hotels focus on environmental sustainability on a daily basis and in all activities. Their hotels and restaurants are increasingly preferring local produce to shorten the supply chain, and purchase eco-label, environmentally friendly products. Emphasis is also placed on sorting waste by type, and by joining Ringo’s packaging recycling system they contribute to reducing the amount of packaging waste. In addition, Tallink Hotels has collaborated with fashion designer Xenia Joost, who used old hotel bed sheets to design her collection, thereby creating sustainable fashion.

Their ecological footprint is also minimised by reducing the use of paper. For example, their key card holders have been swapped out for small stickers. In the rooms, disposable bathroom cosmetics have been replaced with large refillable bottles, and rooms are cleaned every second day, although they suggest that guests forgo housekeeping altogether, if possible. Guests are also involved with other eco-friendly activities, as they’re encouraged to save water, energy and food, for example by asking guests to place a reasonable amount of food on their plates during breakfast. Stairs instead of elevators and eco-friendly transport to get around the city are just a few of the green alternatives outlined on their website.
