Estonian Government lifts restrictions

The government decided at its Thursday cabinet meeting to further relax coronavirus-related restrictions

Should the spread of the novel coronavirus not increase, then as of June 1, public events such as movie screenings, theater performances, concerts, fairs, festivals and conferences will be permitted both in- and outdoors on condition that event organizers ensure that the 2+2 rule is adhered to and that attendance at indoor events does not exceed 50 percent of the occupancy limit and 50 people. For outdoor events, up to 100 participants will be permitted

Museums and exhibitions will likewise be permitted both indoors and outdoors on condition that management ensures adherence to the 2+2 rule.

The government will also permit casinos and slots to reopen in June on condition that management ensures adherence to the 2+2 rule and that occupancy does not exceed 50 percent of the occupancy limit and 50 people.

As of July 1, both indoor and outdoor sporting events with spectators will be permitted on condition that event organizers ensure adherence to the 2+2 rule, that occupancy in indoor spaces does not exceed 50 percent of the occupancy rate, and that the total number of people present, including participants and spectators, does not exceed 500 people at indoor events and 1,000 at outdoor events.

The emergency situation installed to combat the spread of coronavirus in Estonia has expired from May 18th.
