SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES
At Hilton Tallinn Park, sustainability is more than a commitment—it’s a way of operating. Our goal is to host events with a smaller environmental footprint while contributing to a cleaner planet. Here’s how we make it happen:
1. Energy Efficiency
- Underground heating system: Captures heat in summer and repurposes it in winter to keep rooms warm.
- LED lighting & motion sensors: Energy-efficient LED lights and motion sensors ensure lights are only on when needed.
- Energy-efficient kitchen appliances: Our kitchen operates with appliances designed to minimize electricity consumption.
2. Waste Reduction
- Food waste monitoring: Our kitchen team tracks food waste to optimize portion planning and minimize excess.
- Refillable soap dispensers: Bathrooms and guest rooms feature refillable dispensers to reduce single-use plastics.
- Cooking oil recycling: Used oil from our kitchen is converted into biofuel.
- Comprehensive waste sorting: Guests and staff are encouraged to separate waste responsibly.
3. Lowering Our Carbon Footprint
- Carbon offsetting: In collaboration with ClimeCo, we offer event organisers the opportunity to offset carbon emissions.
4. Supporting the Community
Through our “Travel with Purpose” program, we support local initiatives, partnering with organizations such as the Food Bank, the Red Cross, and the Botanical Garden, as well as various other non-profits in need.
5. Looking Ahead
- Solar panels: Plans are in place to install solar panels, further increasing renewable energy use.
- Resource reduction goals: By 2030, we aim to cut water and waste consumption by 50% and reduce energy use by 75%.
