Event hall | Ground floor

This spacious hall, with floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings, is suitable for a wide range of events, including theatre-style conferences, standing receptions, café-style discussions and formal dinners at banquet tables. We welcome groups of all sizes and provide tailored solutions for every event based on its needs. The hall is equipped with a stage, a sound desk, seminar and catering furniture and extensive sound, lighting and presentation equipment. The hall can be hired separately or combined with our café and courtyard facilities. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are overflowing with permanent and seasonal greenery, creating a cosy atmosphere. The urban ambiance of this floor inspires memorable events.

Event hall + café + courtyard | Ground floor

The event hall, café and courtyard, lush with summer greenery, are all interconnecting areas on the ground floor of our building, covering approximately 700 m2. We arrange more extensive catering in the café area for events held in the hall. When the weather is nice, guests can also use our green courtyard at the back of the building, where the canopy and string lights will make everyone feel cosy. The space can be divided into distinct activity and event areas, and the floor-to-ceiling windows at both ends of the ground floor allow daylight in and create a sense of spaciousness throughout the year.

Restaurant, terrace & rooftop bar | 6th floor

Located on the top floor, our restaurant provides sustainable dining experiences along with 360-degree views of the city, combining an open kitchen, rooftop bar and the Nada hall for more private gatherings. During the summer you can spend time outside in the rooftop garden and on the terrace surrounding the restaurant. Throughout the year, private breakfast, lunch and dinner events can be held in the restaurant, where guests can savour outstanding sustainable dishes made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant’s efforts in gastronomy and sustainability have been recognised with a Michelin Green Star for three years running, as well as high ratings from the Falstaff Restaurant Guide Nordic 2024.

Private Nada hall | 6th floor

The restaurant’s secluded, curtained-off space for private gatherings is suitable for up to 20 guests. It’s perfect for team-building events, training, meetings and lunches or dinners, plus wedding parties and family gatherings. Awaiting you will be a long table, or several smaller ones, set according to your preferences, whether it’s a spread of coffee and fresh pastries, a sustainable lunch or a formal dinner.

Museum halls | 2nd & 3rd floor

At Fotografiska, we always recommend adding a guided exhibition tour to your event to make it more memorable. Throughout the year we host up to 10 world-class photographic exhibitions, so there is always a reason to visit the exhibition floors. The 2nd-floor exhibition hall forms one large space, while the 3rd floor is divided into two or three sections. In our exhibition halls you can organise a truly exclusive dinner party, with world-class photographic art as decoration on the walls. The constantly changing selection of exhibitions offers year-round excitement, while the uniqueness of the space sets  the tone for memorable celebrations. Specific options can be discussed based on the desired date and  your preferences.

Fotografiska | Entire venue exclusively

As a rare and exceptional opportunity, the entire Fotografiska building, including all four floors can be booked for a private event. Groups, activities and great food and drinks are then distributed on the terrace and in the restaurant, exhibitions spaces, café, hall and courtyard, accommodating up to 1000 guests at a standing event. This unique opportunity to host corporate events, wedding parties and more is tailor-made from the very beginning and is the result of extensive planning with our in-house organising team.

Fotografiska x Von Krahl Theatre | Telliskivi Creative City

Other suitable spaces and outdoor areas within the Creative City can be incorporated into big events in addition to Fotografiska’s venues. For example, the museum’s ground floor areas can be connected to the neighbouring Von Krahl Theatre and Independent Dance Stage halls via the building’s courtyard or the square in front of it. This makes it possible to organise an event that includes, for example, a theatre- style ceremony in one hall and a standing reception for hundreds of guests in another.

Catering & bar

We offer catering for all in-house events from our kitchens and bakers. During the event planning process, we discuss your catering preferences and needs and plan the menus, drinks and schedule accordingly. Our kitchens serve primarily local and seasonal flavours, and we place high value on sustainable cooking practices as well as the origin and story of our ingredients. We can also provide catering outside of Fotografiska, frequently within the Creative City, but also elsewhere in the city and at major events. We serve drinks for events from our extensive drink and wine list, which includes classics and surprises alike. The spacious circular bar in our café area, as well as the pop-up bar in our courtyard during the warmer months, add to the overall ambiance.

Event Management

A variety of venues is available on all floors of our building to host your next inspiring event. Our main focus is on the ground-floor event hall, café and courtyard, where we can create immersive experiences tailored to any occasion: conferences, seminars, receptions, work lunches, team events, press conferences, concerts, opening and thank-you parties, weddings and more. All events in the building are organised in collaboration with our expert in-house event management team, which handles everything from food to technology and advises on solutions. Our kitchen and bakery crew, who are known for their delicious and sustainable approach, provides event catering.
