DMC Nordic Estonia Receives Internationally Recognised Travelife Certified Sustainability Certificate
DMC Nordic Estonia is committed to adhering to and promoting sustainable tourism principles, and on 21 February 2025, the company was awarded the prestigious Travelife Certified recognition for its efforts.
This certification is granted to companies that demonstrate long-term commitment and leadership in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
DMC Nordic Estonia meets more than 200 criteria covering office management, product selection, international business partnerships, and customer communication. The Travelife standard aligns with ISO 26000 corporate social responsibility guidelines, addressing topics such as environmental protection, biodiversity, human rights, and labour relations, and fully complies with UN requirements.
Mr Naut Kusters, head of the Travelife tour operator programme, commented: “I am pleased to see sustainability gaining momentum in the tour operator sector. DMC Nordic Estonia’s recognition will surely inspire other Estonian companies to follow suit.”
Travelife is a leading international sustainability certification in the travel industry. More than 35 national travel organisations, including 20 European travel associations, promote the programme to their members. Since 2012, over 1,500 tour operators have received CSR training, and more than 500 have been certified.
