Falstaff Nordic Restaurant Guide 2025: Estonia’s Best Restaurants
The internationally acclaimed Falstaff Nordic Restaurant Guide publishes an annual ranking of Estonia’s finest dining establishments, spotlighting the country’s must-visit culinary destinations. Falstaff assesses restaurants using a 100-point system, evaluating food quality, beverage selection, service, and the venue’s style and ambience.
In the latest guide, released in mid-November, Estonia’s Top 10 Restaurants of the year are as follows:
- 180 Degrees by Matthias Diether – A two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Noblessner, Tallinn.
- NOA Chef’s Hall – A one-Michelin-starred restaurant on the border of Tallinn and Viimsi.
- Fotografiska – A sustainable restaurant located on the top floor of the Fotografiska photography museum.
- Alexander Restaurant at Pädaste Manor – A fine dining experience in Pädaste Manor, Muhu Island.
- Lee – Local cuisine with Japanese influences.
- Hiis – A 15-course fine dining experience, located 30 minutes from Tallinn.
- Shang Shi – Exquisite Cantonese cuisine in Tallinn’s Old Town.
- ANNO, Home Restaurant & Wine Corner – A small and intimate wine restaurant.
- SOO – An 8-course tasting journey amidst Estonia’s stunning natural landscapes in Maidla.
- Lahepere Villa – A memorable home dining experience in Kloogaranna.
For the first time, there is a restaurant in Estonia whose food has been given the maximum possible 50 points for food: 180 Degrees by Matthias Diether. This achievement is special because there are only five equivalent restaurants in Denmark, two in Norway, and one in Sweden, but none in Finland, Lithuania, or Latvia.
The Falstaff guide celebrates distinctive dining venues across Estonia, refreshing its list annually to include recently opened restaurants and other intriguing spots worth exploring. For more details and the full list of recommended restaurants, visit the Falstaff website.
