Tallinn Airport was awarded the title of the best airport in Europe for the sixth year in a row
Airports Council International (ACI) has revealed the names of the best airports in 2023 – and Tallinn Airport once again came out on top in the category of airports serving 2-5 million passengers! In addition, Tallinn Airport was also awarded in three further categories: Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe; Easiest Airport Journey in Europe; and Cleanest Airport in Europe.
Riivo Tuvike, the chairman of the management board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam, says he is grateful on behalf of the entire team at Tallinn Airport that it has been recognized so highly. “The awards reflect important values for our team, and we’re happy that our efforts to make Tallinn the cosiest airport out there is being noticed by passengers.”
This year, the airport is focussing more than ever on innovative solutions to facilitate the journey of passengers in the terminal. At the start of April, existing security control equipment will be replaced with new, more efficient machines which will make getting through security quicker and more convenient. Moreover, the airport’s Business Class Lounge, which is due to reopen shortly, will be bigger and even cosier than before.
This is not the first time that Tallinn Airport has been recognized for its quality: in fact, it has received awards for its services for six years in a row since 2018.
ACI World’s annual ASQ Awards recognize airport excellence in the customer experience worldwide, based on data from ASQ’s renowned departures and arrivals surveys and customer questionnaires. Airports are rated in eight categories: arrival at the airport; check-in; security control; passport control; shopping; the gate area; the journey through the airport; and the general atmosphere at the airport. Launched in 2006, ASQ is the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction survey program, involving nearly 400 airports in 109 countries. More information on the ASQ Awards can be found here.
